This was all done on the same still life (obviously) that everyone put together individually and photographed. I'm not sure why the first one (on grey) got so sharply white in the scan, but I couldn't manage to fix it. I'm kinda photoshop-retarded.
The second one I was trying to force myself to use bright colors, by putting in the orange bg first.
Aaaaaad acrylic on a textured ground, created using clear gesso with random junk dragged through it. Plastic butter knife on the onion and tablecloth, hard brush on flower petals (also plate, I think), bottle cap and sponge on bg, and a shelled walnut rolled on over the pepper. :)
